Note from the pres, I'm still kinda in shock at how this all finally just came together and happened. I kinda had the lurking idea to start this club maybe like a year ish ago but never thought it'd actually happen. At the time of writing this before we even formally launched for the year, we already have 80 members in the server. thats HUGE, and I am sosososo grateful to finally get this whole club off the ground. I have a lot of ideas and dreams that I always wanted to do so please stay tuned (tm) and thanks for stopping by

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join the club?

You can join through our Discord linked at the top right of this website! There, you can keep your eyes peeled for the club registration form that comes out each year in our announcements.

Is there a membership fee?

Becoming a member and attending our standard meetings are completely free of cost. However, large events like tournaments may have an associated fee to cover the cost of running the event.

Do you welcome casual players, or is it competitive only?

We offer events that suit any type of player, whether you've been playing for a handful of days or a handful of years.

When and where does the club meet?

We're a club operating on St George campus so most meetings happen in downtown Toronto. (Sorry UTSC/UTM people...)

What happens during a typical club meeting?

We aim to switch up our events a TON and try to adjust our offerings based on the interests submitted in our membership form. This year, we plan on offering free play events, showcases, and themed socials.

Do you participate in inter-university tournaments or events?

Yes, and we actually have a few lined up for the 2025-2026 academic year specifically. Obviously, we gotta get the UofT name out there when it comes to rhythm games. Stay tuned in our Discord server for upcoming tournament announcements!

Do you stream or post highlights online?

Certain events that we host will be streamed to our Discord community only and won't be readily available publicly. We'll link full videos in the server for those interested afterwards.

Can I suggest new games for the club to try?

We're always open to new suggestions on events/initiatives. Feel free to reach out to the exec team and we'll plan accordingly from there.

I've never played rhythm games before—can I still join?

Of course. At the end of the day, rhythm games are just games and anyone is welcome to play them! We aim to stay friendly to beginners in the field while still offering a community for the veterans.

Are there practice/tutorial sessions for beginners?

Demand for these sessions is actually pretty high this year so it will likely happen soontm.
